This website is operated by Lumeford. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Lumeford. Lumeford offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site, to you, the customer, subject to your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale, our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Refund Policy.

By placing an order on our website, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions of Sale. These terms apply to all orders placed on the website.

Section 1 - Scope and customer eligibility

These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern online purchases made through our store. They apply to consumers purchasing products for personal use. You must be legally able to enter into a contract and provide accurate billing, delivery and contact information.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where information is incomplete, inaccurate, suspicious, fraudulent, or where the order cannot be fulfilled.

Section 2 - Products and availability

Lumeford products are our own creations, designed and manufactured in France under the Lumeford brand.

We take reasonable care to present products, descriptions, images, colours, sizes and prices accurately. Product colours and images may vary depending on your device display.

Products are offered subject to availability. We may limit quantities, discontinue products, correct errors, update product information or cancel an order where a product is unavailable or incorrectly presented.

Section 3 - Orders and contract formation

Your order is an offer to purchase the selected products under these terms. After checkout, you may receive an order confirmation email. Acceptance of your order occurs when we confirm that the order has been processed and prepared for dispatch.

If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you and, where payment has already been taken, arrange a refund to the original payment method.

Section 4 - Prices, currency and payment

Prices are displayed in GBP unless stated otherwise. Shipping costs, if any, are shown before checkout. For current United Kingdom deliveries, standard delivery is displayed as free where the checkout and Shipping Policy state a £0 delivery cost.

Payment is due at checkout. You agree to provide current, complete and accurate payment and billing information. Payment providers may carry out security checks before a transaction is approved.

We may correct pricing or typographical errors at any time. If an error affects an order already placed, we will contact you before proceeding where required.

Section 5 - Shipping and delivery

We sell and deliver exclusively to customer addresses within the United Kingdom. Our stock is held in France and orders are dispatched from France with DHL Express.

Order processing takes 1 to 2 business days, Monday to Friday. DHL Express transit normally takes 1 to 3 business days, Monday to Friday, for a total estimated delivery time of 2 to 5 business days.

Standard delivery is free. Lumeford handles the export and import formalities and any applicable customs duties or import charges. Customers will not be asked to pay additional customs or import fees when the order is delivered.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by carrier delays, customs checks, public holidays, incomplete addresses or events outside our reasonable control.

Once your order has been dispatched, we will send tracking information to the email address provided at checkout. Risk in the goods passes to you when the order is delivered to the delivery address provided.

Section 6 - Returns, cancellation and refunds

We offer a 14-day return period from the day you receive your order for eligible new and unused products. We accept returns for defective and non-defective products and accept exchanges, subject to our Returns and Refunds Policy. Accepted returns are always free: we provide a prepaid label and charge no restocking fee. Approved refunds are issued within 10 calendar days after we receive the returned goods or acceptable proof of postage, and always within the applicable statutory deadline. UK consumers retain all mandatory cancellation and fault remedies.

Returned items must be unworn or unused, with tags where applicable, and in their original packaging. Proof of purchase may be required. Items returned without first contacting us may not be accepted.

Refunds are processed after we receive and inspect the returned item. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Your bank or card provider may require additional time to process the refund.

Section 7 - Damaged, defective or incorrect items

Please inspect your order when it arrives. If the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, contact us promptly at hello@lumeford.co.uk with your order details and clear photos where relevant. We will assess the issue and provide a suitable solution in line with applicable consumer protection rules.

Section 8 - Personal information

Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy. We use personal information to process orders, arrange delivery, provide customer support, handle returns and comply with legal obligations.

Section 9 - Third-party services and links

Our store may use third-party services, including Shopify, payment providers, delivery partners and analytics or marketing tools. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services that are not controlled by us. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

Section 10 - Prohibited uses

You must not use the website or products for unlawful purposes, to infringe the rights of others, to submit false or misleading information, to upload malicious code, to interfere with the security of the website, to collect personal information unlawfully, or to carry out fraudulent activity.

Section 11 - Intellectual property

All website content, branding, text, images, graphics, layout, product presentation and other materials are owned by or licensed to Lumeford or its service providers. You may not copy, reproduce, sell, exploit or reuse the website content without our written permission, except where permitted by law.

Legal guarantees

Products are covered by the French legal guarantee of conformity provided by Article L217-3 and the following provisions of the French Consumer Code for two years from delivery. They are also covered by the guarantee against hidden defects under Article 1641 and the following provisions of the French Civil Code. These guarantees do not limit the mandatory consumer rights available to customers in the United Kingdom.

Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE / DEEE)

Electrical and electronic products must not be disposed of with unsorted household waste. At the end of the product's life, use an appropriate collection or recycling point in accordance with local WEEE rules.

Section 12 - Liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of data, or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Section 13 - Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses arising from your breach of these terms, misuse of the website, violation of law, or infringement of third-party rights.

Section 14 - Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law and the remaining provisions will remain valid and enforceable.

Section 15 - Termination

These terms remain effective unless terminated by either you or us. We may terminate or suspend access to the website or refuse service if you breach these terms or use the website unlawfully.

Section 16 - Entire agreement

These Terms and Conditions of Sale, together with the policies referenced on the website, form the agreement between you and us in relation to online purchases from the store.

Section 17 - Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Customers in the United Kingdom retain the mandatory consumer rights and protections available under UK consumer law.
